Beign responsible, yarn-ish stuff

soc_puppetI just spent the last hour-ish being The Responsible One! Does anyone else hate doing that as much as I do? I mean, I hardly ever do it even, but tonight I just felt compelled. Dishes were running out/piling up something awful, and we didn't go groc shopping this weekend, nor have we recycled in for-fucking-ever, and neither of my roommates were home for me to complain about it at (I usually tag-team with Roommate C on the dishes; he loads, I unload, but I'd just unloaded and he hadn't re-loaded), SO. Responsibility get!
Yeah, in case you can't tell, I'm a total responsibility hobo. Pretty much exactly like this, except I never actually Clean All The Things unless I absolutely have to, and also I get to the bank fairly regularly. And I'm pretty sure it's a fairly douche-y lifestyle! The point is, though (and I definitely have one): It's a pretty damn fucked up situation when I'm compelled to be responsible by mess and shortages.
So now some recycling has been done, and I bought some milk with the can refund money (yes, I do live in one of those states what has that deposit/refund program!), and also some conditioner 'cuz I was out and I need to take a shower. Further recycling (of glass, tin, plastic, paper, and cardboard) will likely take place tomorrow, unless the Irresponsibility catches up with me again.
While I was out, I made a point to stop by that yarn shop whose sign I keep seeing that I always mean to check out someday, and found out their hours. I also learned that they offer free knitting lessons ("Learn to knit in 15 minutes!" the sign on the door proclaimed), and I'm pretty sure they're stocked with the Super Fancy Yarn stuff. The kind that could potentially turn me into a total Yarn Snob, which I could definitely see myself becoming, except even non-snobby yarn can be expensive, so. Maybe just for special occasions.

help_pakistan offers (amigurumi, pattern); I'm kinda hoping to accumulate at least one more by the time bidding closes, but something is better than nothing. I am half-planning to poke my fellow AI staffers about it, though; I know several of them expressed interest in my amigurumi over the course of the con, and in perhaps buying one, and this could be a fantastic opportunity all around. Evil (and by evil I apparently mean charitable) plotting goes here >:Db
