Okay, brief break from self-pity and despair time :D

This is not as difficult as it might have been, actually! Because today? Was AI's Postmortem meeting :DD *shimmies* I loooove being AI staff. Love it love it love it ♥

Today was our last staff meeting before November (baw), but boy did we make it count! We used pretty much the whole four hours we had the room reserved for, instead of the usual two-ish of other times in the year.

We spent so much time going over feedback, and giving each other(s' departments) concrit, and brainstorming. I'm totes looking forward to seeing how/if we can implement some of these ideas; I especially want to see the "widen the aisles in the Dealer's Room" idea go through, since it'll not only make the Dealer's Room look less empty (we usually end up with extra space and empty tables in the back), but it should also make it easier for people to get around ^__^ Registration itself may also be in a new area; we'll have to see what happens on that one.

Registration also ended up with a couple new staffers, which delights all of the "senior" reg staff. Less work for us! Sometimes we might even be able to get away from the table! Woo-hoo! I'm going to work extra hard to coordinate things with our new "official" Reg Head and keep things moving this year :3b Not at my own expense, mind, but we've still got a good three months before the next meeting, and longer before Pre-Reg opens again.

I also totally hauled teaspoon in that meeting ♥ I did my best to spread awareness of

help_pakistan (perhaps not the best I could have, but I'm working on it still), I suggested a large-print run of our program books for next year, and the execs and Treasurer okay'd something pretty damn epic to go up on Help_Pakistan itself. I'm so delighted ♥ I can barely wait until the next round, when I get to post about it ♥♥♥

Speaking of Help_Pakistan! The first round of bids closes tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST/6:00 PM GMT. I've still only got the one bid each on my offers (amigurumi, pattern), but with the epic thing for AI going up in the next round, I'm not feeling too bad. I am so looking forward to the next round, one way or another.

Which reminds me; I'd better go see about having my Forum Lackey make a post about the comm. I love having a Forum Lackey :D *totters off*
