A week ago, I mailed an adorable custom floppy cat to someone in the UK, and gave them the tracking number.

I used the US Postal Service from a location in the US.

When I enter the tracking number on the website, this is what shows up:

Tracking for this product is only available to Canada. For future shipments, tracking is available for this country through Priority Mail International with some exclusions, Priority Mail Express International or Global Express Guaranteed® services. For more information visit: https://www.usps.com/international

I don't. What? Only available to Canada? For a product that I shipped through the United States Postal Service, from the United States? What? I don't even. Just.

GAH.

(Any Canadians out there wanna give me a hand here, see if the tracking number will work for you?)

We've had some of these troubles at the bookshop. I think what this means is that you can only track your internationally mailed package AS FAR AS Canada; since you're sending it to the UK, tracking is not available. They'll only track packages on the continent, basically. I'm unsure how to get more information about it than that, but when I get to work later I'll ask Ali if she has any tips. She handles most of our mail-wrangling.
