Finally broke down and got a Tumblr. User name is bisexualbaker. I actively plan against using it as my primary communication platform, though we'll see how long that lasts.

It is entirely possible I will do a massive amigurumi pic dump there in the next few days. Seems like it might be somewhat easier than Photobucket. We'll see.

I'm dramaticowl on Tumblr. I just followed you. :)

I've been on it since around last December and it definitely has its pros and cons.

Pros: it's great for photo and gif sets, signal boosting social justice activities, petitions, writing, etc. I rarely write my own posts - I'm usually reblogging other stuff I find.

Cons: it can be really overwhelming, and depending on what blogs you follow it can be repetitive (I follow a few writing blogs and I will often see the same post three or four times on my dashboard because everyone is reblogging it). There's also very rarely a way to directly communicate with people, unless they open up comments on a post (and even then, most people I know respond by creating a new post with your comment/question and answering it that way. I much prefer DW and LJ for communicating with people, as there is direct commenting and answering.

But there is some interesting stuff on Tumblr, beautiful photos, lots of cute animal pics and lots of referrals to good articles and writing.
