Riot Nrrd plug

You may recall me extolling the virtues of Riot Nrrd in the past. Well, that's not going to stop, probably ever, and today even moreso.
Today's punchline was pure brilliant hilarity. It's got a bit of a backstory:
1) Local GLBT-friendly bookstore Bluestocking Books is in danger of going out of business.
2) Wren's father's boyfriend plays Samuel Adams for his day job.
3) Maria realizes that getting conservadouche protesters to show up would be a great way to boost business, and rallies the troops indirectly.
But you don't need to click the links to get everything that's going on (though, of course, my recommendation is to read the whole thing, starting from the first strip). Really, the second data point is the important one, though the others also help.
With all that taken care of, I encourage everyone to go read today's strip. It is worth every second it takes to read through my brief backstory summary - even without the links! - and if you don't agree, you can. Uh. Tell me so, I guess.
In other news, I'm still trying to get steampunk animal companion input, for anyone who has the time or inclination to decide between "Miniature griffin, Boar (winged or otherwise), Fiery fox, Steampunk-y cephalopod-thing, or Other". Anything that doesn't win me over immediately is still probably going to get some story time, but uh. I do want to decide on a pet/animal companion for certain sometime soon ._.a It would be helpful for stuff. *pushes the poll/opinions some more*
Updates on joblike stuff by Saturday, probably.
