soc_puppetPokemon ideas:
* Fire/Fairy cockatiel, possibly with heart-shaped cheek spots
* Ice/Bug snail with a snowball for a "shell"; leaves trails of ice behind it. Evolved form has one of those Japanese two-ball snowmen for a shell. (Optional: Go completely nuts and add a Western three-ball snowman for a third evo. Dunno how to make it visually balanced, though.)
* Dark/Fairy hummingbird, brightly/pleasantly colored to hide its sinister nature
* Fire/Grass pepper; starts bell pepper shaped with a smoldering stem tip, evolves into more of a curly hot pepper with a burning stem
* Water type coconut octopus; "mimic"/trap Pokemon (same vein as Voltorb, Foongus) that uses discarded Pokeballs to hide from predators. The ball it's hiding in will change appearance to match the one it's caught with. Has "Pickup" ability. Possible evo???
* Grass/Flying spice-themed quail -> pheasant -> turkey line; similar to Farfetch'd, but domesticated for its delicious flavor rather than endangered. (I know pheasants were already covered by the Pidove line, but I really wanted it to be three stage and couldn't think of a better middle stage. And it's not like Pokemon hasn't been redundant before.)
* Grass/Flying fruitbat with emphasis on fruit?
* Steel/Poison sea urchin line: Steel to chow down on anything in the ocean, poison to keep predators at bay; gets pointier/gnarlier when it evolves
* Fire/Water teapot elephant; evolves into a full blown tea kettle elephant. Learns Scald very early.
* Water type two-stage clownfish, emphasis on clown.
