Oct. 24th, 2018 07:15 pmI'm delighted (read: horrified) to announce that TeePublic, the site I offer my Pokemon desins through, has just been acquired by RedBubble.
For those of you not interested in clicking through to read the post, RedBubble has been reporting fan artists' accounts to PayPal without so much as a warning, resulting in said accounts being Limited (AKA shut down, with funds unavailable to withdraw for a solid year). They're also pretty cool with hosting racist, white supremacist, and transphobic stuff, and while shutting down trans-positive artists who use the term TERF. Fun! (Not fun. Not even a little fun.)
My current plan is to remove my Pokemon designs in one week, and to not post any more there. Coloring pages will remain free and available to all.
Edit: Oh look, corrected information on RedBubble! Turns out fanart may be okay? Now I just have to do more research into the "allows bigotry but not anti-bigotry" claims. Which I am bad at. I am so, so bad at that kind of research.
