With Tumblr's New Community Guidelines on the horizon, I finally sat myself down and got through this walkthrough for the Python backup option.

If you want your Tumblr backed up but aren't up to going through the steps yourself, let me know; literally all I would need to know is your user name to make a copy I can email to you. I do plan to download one or two public, submissions-based blogs this way (*looks meaningfully at fuckyeahfanficflamingo-blog-blog, which has vanished before*), but I won't do the same with personal blogs without permission or prompting.
