soc_puppetJust got me a new-to-me laptop! Used via Goodwill Reboot, and I'm already liking it. It does look like I need to import my Firefox bookmarks manually, and there's still some stuff I need to install, but otherwise, so far, so good!
My favorite feature so far has got to be the fact that it has an actual number pad built in. It's going to take me a bit to get used to the rest of the keyboard, but being able to just turn on Num Lock and hold down Alt and press number combos on the pad for things like é and ♥ and ¬? Bliss. Ampersand-whatever-semicolon, you are very useful, but I prefer the method where I can see that shit before I post. The number pad is going to be part of the keyboard learning curve, but I'm so happy to have one again, I don't even care.
Here's to spelling Pokémon with the accent again! I'll probably even end up dropping them all over the damn place in my ML fics as well :D
