Allow me to preface this by saying: I know why I shouldn't, and I fully agree and definitely am not going to, but: I wanna go to a craaaaaft stooooore 😭 Some new glitter shapes that I really want came out at Michael's just days before we went into Actual Shut-Down Mode, and I resisted then because I still knew it would be better not to go, and now it's been a couple of months and I have a new project or two I wanna do, and I just...

I miss looking at pretty yarn and glitter that I don't already own, with the possibility of finding something new that I want and taking it home.

Sigh. Maybe I'll treat myself a little bit to some online craft shopping. I've been pretty sparse with my purchasing so far.

(I think I have enough of one run of yarn to make a whole kitty couch of some variety, and I've got plenty of foam and stuffing to repurpose, even if the foam's not necessarily the "right" thickness. That said, the yarn in question is either white (...not idea for pet furniture, as I'm sure you can imagine) or not-quite-pastel rainbow. I'm not planning on keeping the couch for myself (I'm sure Chester's too big), but who else would want it? Hrm.)

(...That's ignoring the horrible halszkaraptor that's a step or two above it on my to-do list, of course.)

Yeah. Biggest mood. I have been internet-shopping fabric, and so far I've talked myself out of purchasing the same thing every. day. for a week. *sigh*

Do I need more fabric? Uh, no. I could be making more masks out of what I have, instead of wanting more for a dress shirt I currently have no place to wear anything fancy to. (But... but...)

A kitty couch!

Ahem. I have a cream-colored kitty, who sheds mostly white fur and would look adorable on either a pale or pastel couch. If you make it, horrible halszkaraptor of course coming higher in priority, I am Interested.

Oh, the fat quarters I could buy and make masks with! Never mind the t-shirts I still plan to repurpose, as well as that dark blue duvet cover none of us have ever used or want to use...

Well, Chester probably won't fit on it, so I might take you up on that! We'll see where crafting takes me.

Haaahaha. Yeah. I've been making masks out of stashed cotton, things too small for garments that were put aside for dolls, things I intended to make garments out of (those projects have now largely been killed, as the fabric is in use -)

I shouldn't be cranky about this, considering I /had the fabric/ and thus had not done the things it was intended for. But.

No rush and no pressure, in either case. ^^

Oh, my goodness, that kitty couch is one of the best things I have ever seen! I totally get wanting to go to a craft store, but I've definitely found some good online shops for yarn and the like in the past. ^^ Hopefully you can find the right material for that project!

Also, I know it is a little off topic, but I love your Dreamwidth sheep icons! Did you make them?

I know, right? So! Adorable! I want to make one for our dachshund, but he's 20lbs (he's closer to standard size than miniature), so would probably not fit comfortably on even the largest 😜 My plan is to do a trial run with the prescribed worsted weight yarn, then see what I can do with chunky weight.

I'll probably just order some acrylic from Michael's or Joann's and call it a day. (No Hobby Lobby, even if their "I Love This" yarn is super duper nice 😥) But oh, the temptation to just go into a craft store and run my grubby little potentially-germ-infested hands all over the yarn...

Yes, I did! I shared most of them over on dreamsheep, but I think I may have been using Photobucket to host, so the images may be dead now 😒

It looks like there are still a lot of images without the Photobucket mark on them, though! And through some definite maneuvering, I got the mark off of this cute fellow! Thanks for telling me about the community. ^^ Those sheep are adorable.

And yeah, that might be a little difficult to get one big enough for a dachshund. XD Well worth it, though! They are such cute dogs and the thought of one on a crocheted couch is very cute. ^^

Ahh, I know what you mean about feeling the yarn... I hope you are able to find the perfect kind for the project, though!
