Thank you. I'm hoping that I can redirect my convention support energy to WisCon, which went about as far above and beyond as possible in Covid prevention while still holding an even partly in-person con. I'm reasonably sure they'll be happy to keep me on board.

Thank you; I wish they did, but at least now I can devote my full energy to projects that do deserve me.

And maybe in a few years, things will have changed enough that I'll feel comfortable going back. I'm not holding my breath, though; I think I may have burned some bridges on the way out...

Good interaction from work today, though! I told one of the main restaurant staff that I was bummed because I left a volunteer organization I'd been working with for 14 years, and she said, "Oh, I'm sorry..." (Pause for dramatic effect) "...that you were stuck with them for so long!" Gave me a good bit of levity to start my work day and bled off a little more poison.
