Pride today

Took the dog for a walk at Pride today, where I learned that the sunscreen I keep in my car is ...somewhat expired 😅 Luckily, it's only the one shoulder that really got hit, and it doesn't currently seem too bad, though I'll naturally be keeping an eye on it over the next few days.

Molly the dog had a fantastic time, near as I can tell, pulling me around and trying to eat every single morsel she found dropped on the ground. I did finally manage to say hello to Steve the chainmaille guy at his Pride booth, but it involved physically picking Molly up so I could be in charge of where we were going for a little bit 😂

I also wore my NerdyKeppie bi pride soft fade skater dress (with pockets!) and got a number of compliments. Luckily, I'd come prepared with some notecards I'd scribbled NerdyKeppie on to hand out to anyone who expressed interest 😉 Less luckily, I misremembered one of their redirect web addresses and wrote down the wrong one on the cards, but hopefully the people I handed cards out to will still be able to find NerdyKeppie's website with a quick internet search. (Lesson learned: Make sure I have the right address before trying that again!) (...I didn't just use their main address because I wanted people to remember what the card was for.)

All in all, it was a pretty decent experience, though if I go next year, I might just leave the dog behind 😂

I'm just picturing Molly the dog: Sniff, sniff, sniffity--ooh, hi person! XD And getting all the love.

I need to poke around NerdyKeppie a little more than I have. I was debating a patch or two at one point; I should investigate those again.

A lot of people were very happy to see Molly, but she was happier whenever the people had treats 😂 (I'd brought some in my back pocket to let people give her as needed, though they ran out quickly; luckily, the local queer-owned pet supply store had little doggie bag treat freebies, and they were coincidentally my first stop, so I had backup!)

Oh yeah, they've got some great patches! I know they also take commissions, though that can get a bit pricey.

Glad Molly had fun! Cy has gone to Pride a few times, but I think the heat would be too much for him nowadays, sadly.

I'll be wearing my NerdyKeppie bi pride galaxy dress (with pockets) to Pride in Denver next weekend! :D

We actually lucked out and had some relatively nice weather! Mid-eighties, which wasn't ideal, but not nearly as humid as the week prior had been. It probably also helped that we were only there for an hour, and Molly was definitely flagging towards the end. There were several water dishes around for dog access, but getting her to partake was a bit of an effort in itself 😂

I only wish I had been able to find the bi pride doggy bandana I bought from NerdyKeppie some years ago. I swear it's somewhere in my room...

I'm so glad the weather was nice! Especially the lower humidity - every time I've visited anywhere out east-ish, that smacks me down hard.

Aw, bummer on the missing bandana! I hope it turns up! Cy has a silly rainbow hat that people always lose their minds over when he wears it, lol.
