One of the interesting things about needing to use one of my own crochet patterns from ...almost ten years ago, good gravy! Ahem. One of the interesting things about using that pattern is that I'm definitely noticing mistakes in it 😂 Whether it's from typing it up or from when I wrote it down in the first place, some numbers and notations definitely do not add up! I'll have to see about tweaking those in the near future.


With AnimeIowa happening in one week, I also need to solidify my alternate plans. Wisconsin is looking less likely; the Concourse hotel is a little more than I want to spend for the trip, and considering that it's a good chunk of the reason I was planning to go in the first place, it'd feel weird not to stay there. I'll be missing the money I'd otherwise be making at AI's staff art table this year as well, so between that and the money I'd be spending at the Concourse, well. (I've been invited to submit my work to the AI art show, but I need to look into whether or not things would be available for sale there, and it's a little bit out of the way compared to the staff art table as well.)

Anyway, I want to be out of the house but decidedly not in the area of AI for at least that Friday and Saturday, possibly also that Sunday. Sadly, so far I've only managed to make plans for that Thursday 😂 I'm leaning towards going to the nearest zoo on that Friday, in hopes of avoiding too much of a crowd, but may switch things around depending on various things.

My next hilarious problem with it is that I was using whatever yarn I had to hand, and I'm at least 90% sure that one of the major colors was a different thickness than the other, resulting in yet more bad numbers 😂 My next crochet project might be "doing actual test-runs of many of my old patterns". On the plus side, I can probably sell the results 👀
