This week, in honor of me getting the Covid booster/flu shot double-jab before lunch today, I recommended vaccines over on queerly_beloved. Damn do I love vaccines.
Ahhh, it’s gratifying to have the right shirt for every occasion. My “this space intentionally left blank” shirt is a utility player when other messages aren’t available.
1796 puts me in mind of Octavian Nothing vol 1, which starts with a pox party.
Yay! Glad you got your shots. That's a wonderful post.
I had my second booster (original shot) in July, so I'm waiting until November to do the new booster. Supposedly I can get it after just two months, but my doctor is recommending waiting a little longer to 4 months for better efficacy. I'm still masking everywhere, so hopefully that will still give me protection too. Getting flu shot at work in mid October, but I may just go into the drugstore and get it a little earlier.
Yeah, I wanted to get my booster earlier, but my doctor said to delay it for at least three months after that positive test I got at the end of May; I think it worked out in the end, though, since I ended up getting the new bivalent version this way. And yeah, ditto on the masking; I'll take mine off at work sometimes, but if I'm in a room with more than five people for more than five minutes and/or if I know that one of the people in that room hasn't been vaccinated, back on goes the mask! Which is still a little bit more lenient than I'd prefer, but I sweat waaaaay too much under a mask, and am worried about how damp it can get before it stops working as well as it should.
