Most adorable Marceline (the vampire queen) ever, or most adorable Marceline ever? (FTR, the skull's about the same height as her ax-bass, it just didn't show up well against a white background, and I was too lazy to re-photograph everything.)

They are currently chilling on my manga shelf, ready to play a little undead music if I should need it. Or rant-sing about dads who steal fries or trying to be friends with princesses, whatever the situation calls for.

Beautiful, beautiful, extra adorable work by princeliness, in exchange for Nitori and separate from the fandomaid win.

And now for something extra, Cat Story!

Yesterday afternoon, my dad called me outside to come socialize with a very friendly cat who wanted attention but he was too busy to play with. I did so quite gladly, noting that not only was the cat incredibly friendly and well-socialized, especially compared to the usual feral strays around here, but wasn't wearing a collar and seemed a bit thin (to my admittedly untrained eye/hand). Dad mentioned that it'd come by yesterday and he'd given it some attention then, and told me not to feed it.

I told him I'd rather take it to the animal shelter, and could I borrow his car to do so possibly?

Dad was, hrm, open to the idea, but preferred I get back as soon as possible. And then the car thing became a non-issue when my brother appeared to borrow something and I managed to wrangle a ride from him.

We got the cat to the shelter none the worse for wear. The shelter staff couldn't find a microchip on her, and said they'd hold her for five days before putting her up for adoption, which they sounded optimistic about. I agreed, and said I'd brought her in precisely because she seemed like she either was someone's pet, or like she would make someone a good pet.

I'm pretty sure I detected a note of surprise in the shelter worker's demeanor about how friendly she was; I'm guessing they either get well-meaning people bringing in unsocialized feral strays to be adopted, or they were expecting her to be a bit more of a handful from the box arrangement we had her in. In my defense, we originally put her in that box arrangement because I thought I'd be taking her in solo and didn't want her to escape while I was driving. (And also because we don't have a cat carrier, not having anything like cats.)

Anyway, she's in good hands now. If her people are missing her, I hope they've got feelers out at the animal shelter, and if they aren't missing her (which, well, poots on them if so), I hope she finds a good forever home sometime soon. Fingers crossed for random friendly cat!

And it's back to working furiously on Cloud-pony. (...Furious in the 'really hard' sense, not the 'angry' sense.) And then possibly pictures of Galaxy Dragon and Crocheted Charizard a little later.

Actually, the LJ thing gets even worse. Several people have reported that the latest round of tweaks is causing other people's posts to show up when they try to edit a post of their own.

And then they had the gall to claim there was no security issue! The nerve. Even if they can't access anything else to edit it, there's still private information on display to a total stranger >:|

What's the issue with LJ? It looks like it was something of a priority seeing the spammer issue? I realise a lot of people (especially RPers) use these login-clients, but it shouldn't take that long for a fix to be achieved? *puzzled*

Oh. Right. Lack of release notes is very bad. *sigh*

The login add-ons would be a lot easier to fix if LJ had been at all transparent about what they changed; apparently, the add-on developers are unable to find any changelogs for that specific issue. Furthermore, the LJ team knew well in advance that this 'fix' would screw up the login clients but neglected to even try and inform the developers what was going to happen beforehand.

Even bigger than that, though, is the privacy issue. I mean, the login clients not working is a pain and a half for many of us, but some users report being logged into random accounts: accounts of people they've never heard of before, who likely have never heard of them either. LJ isn't handling the issue very well.
