Back to school

soc_puppetFirst day of the school year today >_<.
It was pretty much an ordinary first day of school. Some ups, some downs, running into lots of people I like and hadn't seen in too long and too many people I didn't like and would liked to have put off seeing for a while longer.
I'd been looking forward to going back to the school facilities because the library had a scanner I could use. Emphasis on 'had'. They still have the scanner; they probably have a few more now than last year. None of them are hooked up, and even if they are hooked up by tomorrow, I've been informed that software may be a week in coming at least.
So, good news: I will finally be able to get my art on the computer.
Bad news: it's gonna take a while longer. *sigh*
