Friday and fan babble

So, Friday, as mentioned, is GAME Club day. Yesterday, unfortunately, most of the fun and/or pervy people were gone =P so it was kinda on the dull side. It ended early, at about 4:30 instead of our usual 5:00, and while nekokenchan and I were leaving, we ran into Hannah and Alyssa (lilacs_irises) in the hall. Alyssa, being Alyssa, wanted someone to wait around with her until her ride came, and Hannah, being Hannah, had other things to do. So I, being myself (always willing to have her ear talked off, as long as she occasionally gets to make snarky comments in return) volunteered to sit with her.
I ended up bugging her about which pairing she wanted for her fanservice pic.
Me: So, FMA?
Alyssa: Yeah, that sounds good.
Me: Who do you want in it?
Alyssa: Ed and somebody.
Me: Okay, I can do that. Ed and who?
Alyssa: Uh, lemme think for a minute. *thinks for a minute* Damnit, I can't think of anyone >_<
Me: -_-....
Alyssa: Seriously, I can't!
Me: *makes a few suggestions (1)*
Alyssa: *rejects suggestions* Come on, there's gotta be something else. What series have I read/watched that you have also read/watched? *ponders* Have you read 'Model'?
Me: No.
*interrupt for long, spoiler-filled conversation about 'Model' and why I should read it*
Me: So, back on track here.
Alyssa: Oh! I've got it! It's so perfect!!!! Duo!
Me: ....Well, while you aren't the first person to think of that--
Alyssa: Because it's the best idea ever =D
Me: --I can't see that crossover working(2).
Alyssa: But I can't think of anyone from the shooooow for thiiiis~! ;_;
Me: I could always do solo Ed fanservice.
Alyssa: Nah. Let's just change it to Roy and somebody.
Me: Okay, I can do that. Roy and who?
Alyssa: Uh....
Me: Some people like Roy and Havoc.
Alyssa: No, I don't think so.
Me: I can also do het fanservice.
Alyssa: Het?
Me: Heterosexual.
Alyssa: No.
Me: Or I could do yuri.
Alyssa: No! >_<
Me: Or I could do solo Roy fanservice.
Alyssa: No, not that either.
Me: -_-.....
Alyssa: Okay, fine, you win. I can't think of anything else. Roy/Ed fanservice.
Me: *sympathetic* The age thing still bugs you, too, huh? (<--Still occasionally bugged by the age difference, but only when she bothers to think about it)
Alyssa: Yeah, but they're just so pretty!
Me: Okay, can't argue with that.
So, the subject of Alyssa's birthday fanservice pic has been chosen. Now I have about two months to actually draw it ^^;...
(1)My biggest regret is that Alyssa does not know who Ling is, because I'm rather fond of the idea of Ling/Ed. Or, yanno, Ed/Ling. Whatever.
(2) Well, yeah, I did have a hard time seeing it. Now, though, thanks to my brain, I can see it happening. It would take one helluva good writer to make me read it, though -_-.

Anyway, the conversation proceeded from there with me grilling Alyssa for name pronunciations and spoiling her rampantly for what little I know of what happens at the end of the anime. (I'll have you know, it's rather hard to do for one who has only read the manga and way too much fanfic, but I don't think I did too badly.)
Got home around five-thirty.
Dad: Where ya been?
Me: Game club. And then I talked with Alyssa about Dante.
Dad: *thinks I'm refering to the Italian* Oh, okay.
Me: *doesn't bother to correct his thinking*

Moving right along now. You know how in How the Grinch Stole Christmas there's this line that goes something like, "And then the Grinch got an idea. An awful idea. The Grinch got a wonderful, awful idea."? Well. A short time ago, I got a really Grinchy idea.

Brain: Hey, you know Kingdom Hearts?
Me: ...Yeah...
Brain: And you know Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, too, right?
Me: ...Where is this going?
Brain: Wouldn't it be cool to do a crossover between them =D?
Me: >_< Why does this always happen to me?
So. I've picked up the game again, and I've been re-reading the graphic novels that have been translated into English, and so forth.
(And that straight line thing from T:RC vol 3 is still bugging me. See, it goes something like this.
It's originally from this Bogart movie (I think), but I don't see many movies at all, let alone movies I probably should see for cultural reference, so I couldn't tell you which one. (If anyone could tell me, I would be very appreciative.) All I've seen is the end of this parody detective movie which also parodies this Bogart movie (which may or may not also be a detective movie). And the original line(s) go something like this:
Character A: You know how to whistle, don't you?
Character B: *Demonstrates whistling ability*
Character A: *Takes shameless advantage of Character B's puckered lips*
So. Fai not knowing how to whistle (and my being slightly nuts over Kurogane-and-Fai, partly because they remind me a whole lot of Touya and Yukito, respectively) really really gets to me. And the best argument my brain has so far, aside from my huge weakness to straight lines, for me to actually write it is:
Brain: Do you want someone else to get to it first?
And I believe I'm slowly weakening. But I hope not.)
I know I should probably be working on the Saiyuki/Furuba crossover that I owe Summercloud instead, but, well...
Brain: It's a massive crossover series crossover! =D
And it would _work_, too, damnit. >_<
And it's threatening to be stylistic (which I wouldn't actually mind that much) and long (which I _would_ mind).
At this point, I'd try and shove it off on someone else, but I think I've actually started to like the damn plunny. *eyes it warily*
I need to go to sleep. I do not want to go to sleep, but I need to go to sleep.
