Aaargh -_-
Mar. 13th, 2005 01:22 pmSlight emotional breakdown this morning ^^;;. Background notes:
Obsession-Compulsion Disorder: Hi, I'm OCD, and I think you have me, and now that I've been (possibly) identified, I'm going to take over your life and drive you batshit insane =D.
Socchan: >_< Aaargh! This is all your fault, Grandpa!
Still not entirely positive that I have it, because word-of-prankster-grandparent plus test-that-psych-teacher-doesn't-put-a-lot-of-stock-in does not engender confidence in diagnosis -_-, but it's certainly possible. Anyone out there know any good OCD tests?
Also, today, the trigger:
Priest: I'm sorry, but sewing is not an appropriate activity for church.
Dad: Is this okay?
Socchan: No >__<, which bodes not well for yours truly. I mean, he's got a sense of humor, sure, but I'd rather be comfortable with myself in my church than uncomfortable and laughing to seem normal.)
Anyway, had a very slight breakdown about that, but seem to be doing better at the moment. We'll see what tomorrow brings (probably Black-and-White fic =D)

Date: 2005-03-13 08:18 pm (UTC)I'm a bad person, me; my brain's conjuring up things that I'd do that are NOT solutions (bring a padlock and my picks and practice quietly, draw caricatures of my fellow churchgoers, make up scurrilious lymerics and scribble them in the margins of the hymnals), but then I'm a neopagan and probably considered unfit for company by most Catholic priests, anyway. Go figure. I'm not much help here, I fear...

Date: 2005-03-13 09:09 pm (UTC)I would so do any of those (well, except the 'scribbling in the hymnals' part, but then, I like the hymns ^^;) if I could get away with it. Hmm... Maybe I should give it a shot... *resolves to find out more about lock pics*
Our old priest would probably be cool with you, but the new one strikes me as rather conservative -_-. Maybe it's a culture thing. *shrugs*

Date: 2005-03-13 08:58 pm (UTC)I don't go to church, since I don't really have _ONE_ religion to belive in; I'm openminded in that as well, though tend to create my own gods.
If you WOULD throw me in one direction, I tend to go more towards the Celtic beliefs, or the Old Norse Gods (Thor and Odin, and all that jazz).
*whisper* But don't tell anyone, they think I'm 100% christian! *laughs*
I don't really know what you could do. Except...
...Do you have a small peive of metal, something akin to a coin? ("Chinese" goodluck coins being a good example). If you are the least bit like me (I always need something to do with my hands), you can sit and play with that. Try to make it "walk" across your fingers and stuff.
You don't need cins to do it. When I couldn't find my lucky coin, I used my plectors (is that right?) aka: The small plastic thingies you use to play the guitar with. So any small things could be used.

Date: 2005-03-13 09:17 pm (UTC)Your secret's safe with me ^_~
I think I'll give that a try, though I'll probably have to find something that's not too shiny.
The small, roundish/triangular things are 'picks'. Don't know about anything else, tho ^^; <--- doesn't know much about guitars
