Papacy and so forth

nekokenchan stopped by with a survey for a newspaper article. It was a lot of questions about the Pope and what I feel about it and that sort of thing. My favorite question was, "Who do you think the next pope should be?"
Socchan: Me, obviously.
'Kenchan: XD If you say that, I'll seriously write it.
Socchan: Sure thing ^_^ ! I think I would be a great candidate for the next pope.
'Kenchan: Okay, why would you make a good pope?
Socchan: Because I would totally allow priests to be female and to marry and the vow of celebacy to be non-mandatory. I could drag the Catholic church kicking and screaming into the twentieth century! Or the twenty-first, even. (Or maybe I shouldn't push my luck.)
Of couse, technically, I can't be pope -_- what with me being female and all. Technically speaking, any male Catholic can be pope. Of course, it'll almost certainly end up being one of the Cardinals in the Vatican, but the option is there.
(According to 'Kenchan's dad, there was once a female pope ^_^ Of course, she blew it by getting pregnant ^^; but that doesn't change that there actually was one. Now, of course, it's set up so there's this chair that the new pope has to sit on without his drawers on so the Powers That Be can tell that he really is a guy -_-. *sigh*)
Seriously though, I think I would make a fantastic pope, if a little unconventional.
...There was something else I wanted to talk about, but now I can't remember what it was. Oh, well. I'll figure it out eventually.
