So. It was fifth period (World Lit) and we still hadn't seen FMA episode 3. Half the class period was over. After which I would leave, to come back for one period of orchestra the following day, and then nothing. That's it; nothing. No more high school. At all. A week or so ago, I asked Mr. Hartwig about watching the episode, and he said he didn't want to completely crush my hopes, but he wasn't sure when he would fit it in. Today was it. I said to him,
"Mr. Hartwig, there are twenty-five minutes left in class; my hopes are about to be completely crushed."
Mr. Hartwig: ...Do you want to just put it in right now?
Me: O_O Yes! By all means, yes! Let us watch the stupendous anime that is completely related to Frankenstein!!!
Mr. Hartwig: Okay, just a sec; I'll go get it.
We watched it in class. I can't say that many people actually payed attention, but it was a step in the right direction ^_^; We didn't finish it either. Still, I feel successful. After class I gave him a link to where he could read the manga. I believe we have another addict. I can only hope that, at some time in the future, FMA ep 3 will become a part of Mr. Hartwig's cirriculum. These hopes are likely to be completely dashed (as were my hopes of there being a school rule specifically forbidding the wearing of cat ears) but they still exist, and are more significant than they would be had I not gotten him to watch it. I rejoice.
Pat, I have the DVD. I'll bring it to school tomorrow.
In other news, I just got chapter 14 of Communications back from my beta reader ^____^ I'll do my best to post it tonight.
