A few notes
Sep. 6th, 2005 09:56 amOn Friday I will be headed to Anime Iowa. I will be there all weekend, and plan to have tons of fun. There will be pictures.
Sadly, we are stillshort without an Ed, and I'm not in the mood to go Ed hunting at the Con. At least, not with the intent to make him or her cosplay with us on stage (though I might still print out a couple of scripts, just in case).
My computer is currently in the shop, so I'm without home internet ;_; On the plus side, this does make it easier for me to focus on costumes, so.
My Izumi costume is complete but for buttons ^^v I am very pleased with this.
Will think of more to say later. Am now planning to enjoy my temporary 'net time. Ciao!

Date: 2005-09-06 10:41 pm (UTC)I can see it as a security deal, though. On the other hand, I'm not sure how useful a completely disconnected computer is. When a computer can reach the 'net it can be patched and updated easily. And networked computers can very easily be disconnected by disabling the network adapter, regardless of whether the networking is cabled or wireless.
In my house we have a printer networked downstairs and we use our other computers wherever around the house and print or stuff over the wireless network. We also have a scanner, but that's an antique. I wouldn't even try to network it, just the computer (downstairs) to which it is attached.
