In, uh, gratitude for all the supportive comments I recieved for the Untitled Crack Pairing thing, I have finally written out the Sunbaithing Bunny ^___^. Different tone, different crack pairing. Kinda rough.
Fandom: Detective Conan
Summary: A sunny day on a Tokyo rooftop. Sometimes things are exactly what they look like. Probable OOC-ness.
Fic:
Sunbeam
Clear summer days were rare in Tokyo.
"Pass the tanning oil, would ya?"
Even rarer were the days that Heiji and Makoto could get together, especially since Makoto had started his world travel.
"Thanks."
It had started with a chance meeting at a martial arts tournament, not unlike how Makoto had first become interested in Sonoko. It continued with planned meetings from time to time, mostly in Tokyo's Beika district.
What amused Heiji the most about the entire ordeal was that people thought he was sneaking off to Tokyo to see Kudo.
"Need any help putting that on?"
"Yeah, actually..."
The two of them had worked out early on that it was to be a mutually non-monogamous relationship. Both Heiji and Makoto had someone else they were interested in, and neither wanted to get in the other's way. They hadn't quite worked out yet what they would do if either Sonoko or Kazuha were unsupportive, which probably contributed to how slowly those relationships were moving.
Languidly Makoto crawled over to where Heiji lay soaking up sun. Straddling the kendoist's thighs, Makoto began to massage the tanning oil into Heiji's back. Heiji moaned appreciatively. Neither of them heard the one door to the roof open, nor did they notice the figures who stepped through it until it was far too late.
"He said he was going to be in town today, but I just can't seem to find him," Sonoko was telling Kazuha.
Kazuha nodded sagely. "I know. I can't seem to find Heiji either, and the Mouris have no idea where he is--" She broke off abruptly as she noticed Makoto draped over Heiji, neither of them wearing much. Oil glistened on Makoto's hands. Kazuha's eyes widened and her hand flew to her nose to pre-empt the flow of blood. "Erk!"
Sonoko examined the two martial artists with a critical eye. A wicked smile spread over her lips and she leaned over to Kazuha to say, "I don't mind sharing if you don't. I just ask that we get to watch sometimes."
Kazuha passed out.

Behold, my crack OT4!OMG,theirloveissowelltanned.
*cough* Yes...Partially inspired by Volume 26, File 2, when Sonoko is asking Kazuha where that cute tanned friend of hers was, and Ran explains that Sonoko likes a different tanned guy to avoid open war. It later occured to me that Sonoko and Kazuha could bond over their attraction to cute, well tanned martial artists. And then I started contemplating crack pairings, and one thing lead to another.
I have no idea what weather conditions in Tokyo are like, let alone during summer, so forgive me my mistakes.
The fun thing about crack pairings, as with fan fiction in general, is making them work. (<---personal opinion) (My crack pairing addiction probably started here, with my favorite author. Only the last one is truly a crack pairing, but as I was a rather avid Ranma/Akane fan at the time, even alternate pairings seemed messed up ^^;. I've... evolved a bit since then.)

Date: 2004-12-23 02:56 am (UTC)*CHEERS!!* Yeah, it doesn't surprise me that Sonoko's a closet yaoi fangirl. *snickers* Go Sonoko!!!
... Voices are now making scary comments about Sonoko and Akako... eep!!!

Date: 2004-12-23 03:15 am (UTC)Ooo, that *does* sound yummy... *is tempted* Reminds me of something, too.
Apperantly, the literal translation of two-sword style/way ('Nikendo', I believe') is also slang for gay sex ^^;. Wanted to fit that in somewhere above, couldn't think of a way. Thanks for the excuse ^_~
You think you have problems with Sonoko and Akako? Allow me to point you to my first crack-pairing fic -_-.
Note to self: try to keep from making Sonoko a mouthpiece for your opinions.

Date: 2004-12-22 01:25 pm (UTC)That crack Rnam pairing though.....@.@WRONG!!!!!!(I was hoping for a Ranma/Ryoga)

Date: 2004-12-22 04:34 pm (UTC)And Heiji and Makoto have probably gotten some interesting tan lines from being, uh, 'tanning' buddies ^_~
*glee* You read it. Wrong, yes, but it worked, and that was the point. Besides, Ranma/Ryoga is easier to find.
