Fic: Impatience: 1/1
Apr. 4th, 2005 11:19 amOnly ten minutes to type this in; starting clocks! (Also, probably needs lots more editing than I can do in a time limit ^^; Not used to present tense, I am.)
Fandom: Detective Conan
Summary: Kazuha is tired of waiting. (Shmoop)
Fic: Impatience
Kazuha has gotten tired of waiting. Three years it's been since she noticed he was a boy as well as a friend, and in three years nothing else has happened. Certainly she's watching him more, appreciating while she can, but Heiji, great detective that he is, hasn't noticed.
Three years she's been watching. Three years of pining, of waiting, of her heart leaping in her chest when he says her name and of being sick with worry when he's in danger. Three years can seem like an awfully long time when you're young, but Kazuha knows it's nothing compared to how long she would wait for him: a drop of water to the ocean, a grain of sand to a desert. Still, she is tired of doing nothing but waiting. She wants more, wants the eternity she would spend waiting for him to become the eternity she would spend being with him.
Finally she thinks she can take it no more. She beckons Heiji over so she can 'take a look at his Omamori.' Kazuha pulles it out from his shirt, sliding a hand over his chest, around his neck. Then she pulls downward, surges upward and meets his lips halfway.
It is like being born again, a sudden rush of feeling, and she Kazuha wants to drink it all in and never forget it, to hold it close and never let go.
Eventually her lungs scream loud enough to be heard over her heart and she pulls back (though not very far; every inch between them still seems like a mile) and gasps.
Heiji's arms have come around her, and she is not surprised that she hadn't noticed. She doesn't think she would have noticed anything while she was kissing him.
He whispers in her ear, voice hopeful and awestruck, "Could we do that again?"
Kazuha has never been happier to do as he asked.

Ah, that feels better ^__^ Wrote this to cheer myself up last night. It seems to have worked ^^v
Heiji/Kazuha is probably my ultimate fluff pairing, if only because it's hard to get ideas for Makoto/Sonoko ^^;It's probably why I liked Sunbeam so much ^^... Art to accompany probably coming soon.
Will go over for spelling and grammar later. If you notice anything, please drop me a line?
C&C appreciated

Yeah, I think the only way for Heiji to get a clue there is if Kazuha whacked him over the head with a clue stick. ^_________^

Date: 2005-04-04 07:33 pm (UTC)For being such a "great" detective, Heiji can be surprisingly dense -_-

Date: 2005-04-04 08:37 pm (UTC)It wouldn't be fun if he could figure EVERYTHING out, would it?
I mean, he figured out that Conan was Shinichi, and more often than not he solves big, mysterious cases...
But I just finished watching the three-part episode "Der Fulch Der Spinnen-Konigen" ("The Curse of the Spider Queen") in German, and I am beginning to think that Heiji really IS that dense...
One does NOT barge in on a girl and tell her to remove her clothes when you only want to check her for taser-marks...Tsk tsk, Heiji!
*chuckles*

Still haven't found Pandora (but at least I'm still ahead of the B.O.)"
