Oct. 24th, 2005 10:46 pmDonated blood today ^_^ It went very well, which is pretty much par for course with this group. Ate too many cookies and had to stop thinking about food for a while 9_9; Attempted to explain to my mom some of the intricacies of Bleach, but had to stop. I hold onto the hope that I will one day get her at least a little addicted.
Was actually fifteen minutes late to my appointment, due to a bit of a mix-up with Mom ^^a It was a car thing. Walked half an hour to get to the donation center. Ran into Pat on the way ^___^ ♥ Was quite happy to see her. Might've tried to bum a ride if she weren't going to class. Definitely would've talked longer if I wasn't already late =_= (Which reminds me, I'm thinking I should leave my motorcycle helmit with her, since I don't have a motorcycle or a moped of my own. That way, she can use it for other people who might be getting rides, and I would have access to it when I needed a ride. Just a thought at the moment.)
Invitation stuff! People in town, Dad's holding one of his backyard parties on Friday. I think it starts at seven (in the evening). You're welcome to stop by, and meet a selection of my parents' cool and crazy friends ^__^ Also, I have tickets for the Jade Tiger Dojo's winter program, which is basically the dojo's equivalent of a recital. See, instead of music or dancing, we have small girls throwing seven foot men on their heads and people banging large sticks together. Tickets are $3.00, and the program is Dec 9 from 7 to 9 in the evening. It'll be at Grace Community Church in North Liberty. Yes, I will be a part of it. I'll be one of four girls swinging the really long sticks ♥ Lemme know if you're interested in any of it.
On that note, had a Bojutsu test on Saturday. Sensei said that I had the best ready positions out of anyone not in his family, which is quite the compliment, considering how long they've been working at it. I still need to work on keeping my stance low when moving, but other than that I apparently did really well ^__^
I'm pretty sure that one of the Chrises has my Bleach scanlation CD (though it could also be someone else). If it could be returned, I would be really appreciative.

Date: 2005-10-26 12:21 am (UTC)Mom says she donated about that much in her life, but always to different organizations so she never got any awards. And then the cancer hit, so she can't donate anymore ;_;
