I thought I should let you know that the Hallowe'en tradition of playing large-scale pranks is alive and well =_= Woke up this morning to find the front of our house had been egged. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as I had initially feared--seeing the little white patches on the driveway, I'd thought of toilet paper, though it was a little sparse for that. The eggers mostly got our front two windows and our driveway--not that you could tell with anything other than the windows; the driveway was wet, so I'm guessing most of that mess washed away in the rain.
All in all, even though it's easier to clean up than toilet paper, it's still a bit of a let-down for the human race in general. Mostly because we seem to have been 'targeted' for this--none of the houses near us had egg displays, which suggests that it wasn't random, and we have three political signs out front, one of which is the center of some contorversy (the vote 'yes' for public power one). From what I know about sociology, I'm probably going to mentally blame it on a group of young, white teenage boys, trying to prove how cool they are to themselves. Probably have 'vote no' parents, too, though it's not a given.
I suppose, though, that of all the things they could've been discriminating against us for, that's one of the better ones. At least it suggests that our citizens are more politically biased than homophobic or racist. (I'm trying to avoid even thinking that it might somehow be connected to the second one.)
Though really, I'm curious. Are we supposed to report this to anyone? I mean, it's very unlikely that the culprit(s) will be caught even if we do, but this has never happened to me/us before, so we don't know the procedure. I guess we'll just have to figure it out as we go along.
