Event Horizons

soc_puppetJust got back from Astronomy. Well, not just just, it's been about half an hour, but pretty close. Learned lots about black holes. Have decided that I need to call a fic or a chapter or something 'Event Horizon', because it's just that damn cool.
Project "Scanlate TSK" is going relatively well; I've got two translators lined up, one of whom doubling as a QC'er. Also holding out to see MoF's feelings on the project: she volunteered to do translating stuff for me a long time ago, so she's in if she wants to be.
Got some work done on Communications ♥ So far it's really crappy and way too much exposition and in need of severe editing all around, but I can fix that when I type it up. At the moment I'm just happy to be writing it at all. This means there may be a little delay on both MoF's birthday fic and Summercloud's other birthday request, but I've got something lined up that I hope will make up for it--at least a little.
Tomas stole the computer for a few minutes, so I distracted myself by reading T:RC. I'm about at page 88 right now. (Whited out for the convenience of compulsive readers who want to remain spoiler-free.) I admit, I'd read scanlations of it before, but I think I missed Chapitre 43 the first time through. I'm pretty sure I would've remembered Seishiro and Fai's confrontation if I'd read it already--mostly because it tells how this Seishiro lost his right eye: "I gave my right eye in exchange for this." ('This' being a machine that allows him to dimension hop a limited number of times.)
Well, thanks to the scans and translations available at this site ( fukanounashigoto.free.fr/tsubasa-holic/ ), I've been reading ahead with xxxHolic and know a few things that happen to Watanuki--including the similar loss of a right eye. The difference being, to the best of my knowledge, Watanuki's eye becomes irretrieveable, while Yuuko-san still has Seishiro's eye.
What am I thinking?
socchan: Nooooooo, brain. Stop right there. Nuh-un. No way would CLAMP do that--except where they totally might. Aargh, I wish I was better at predicting them +_+
I'm torn between thinking it's too easy and thinking it just might be obscure enough to work--so I'm mostly going to pretend I didn't notice a thing and wait for CLAMP to reveal all themselves.
And that's about it for now. I managed to finish the feast for my CFUD calendar picture, but I've got more pressing issues ahead for that--specifically, what type and shape I want the table to be, and, later, how the heck I'm going to get around fourteen characters (two not even from Bleach) into the same picture and what on earth will they be doing.
Also feel like working some on Small Things in the near future, and other varied WiPs. (Mostly Small Things, though, as it has seniority, and I need to do more DC fic anyway.)
