Caffeine-induced Book Reading

soc_puppetThings I've learned within the last twenty-four hours: Apparently, half a can of Vanilla Coke, when taken after nine o'clock, is enough to keep me up all night. Who knew! I thought my caffeine resistance was still 100%; apparently not.
FTR: I drank a second can around four in the morning as a preventative measure, since I was pretty damn sure I wasn't getting to sleep at that point. Thankfully, it seems to have done its job. Coca-Cola, I can only assume that what you put in there is normal caffeine.
Luckily, I snagged an Out Slightly Early copy of The Mermaid's Madness at Waldenbooks yesterday. I was gonna be good and wait to buy it from a local store (as opposed to the chain) on Tuesday, but by now I guess I can live with the fact that I didn't ^^a
Anywho, thanks to late night caffeine-induced marathon reading, I'm now a good two-thirds of the way through the book. I SAW THAT CROSSOVER THAT YOU DID THERE. YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE SOOO SNEAKY, BUT I TOTALLY CAUGHT IT. I'm kinda mentally running back and forth in fangirl glee because, EEEEE!, Talia backstory, and EEEEE!, Snow being all trickster-y, and EEEEE! the Captain!, and a;lsdkfj;sdlkafs just everything. I've got a hundred pages to go, and I don't want it to end yet, because that means I'll have to wait another year or so for more Princess adventures D: ...On the other hand, I do still have a fairly tall To Read stack, and that includes the rest of Goblin War, so. Maybe I'll live. Somehow.
SPEAKING OF MERMAID. For those who do not know, the author offered a chance to ask questions about the book not long ago! I sent one in when I found out he had not gotten any silly ones as of... the twenty-second-ish of September. It was quite silly. Anyhow, part of the bargain was that we'd have to post our own question and a linkback to everyone else's in our own blogs or wev on October 6th (that being the actual release date for The Mermaid's Madness), so expect to see that on Tuesday :3b (Technically, I already have my answer - complete with surprise graphic! - but it's much more fun to make you all wait >:3)
That's all for now; I think I'm going to go try to counter-act my Bad Role Modeling and maybe catch a nap. If I can manage it. Caffeine metabolizers, don't fail me now!
