Accidentally arrived an hour early for class today -_-a As a result, ended up spending most of the time in the cafeteria with Jason H. and talking about various things. Conversation eventually turned to Magical Girl Icka and, well...

Still working on the ferret-themed villainess' costume, though I seem to have narrowed the options down a bit. Still also need to work on minor characters, evil minions, etc also.

Edit: I am weak. As such, Magical Girl Icka is now listed in my interests.

I have been re-reading bits and pieces of the DC/MK manga, as well as a few fics here and there on FF.net, and you know what? My DC/MK muse (for lack of a better term) has returned to me! You know how I know this? The little plunnies are back :D

The little plunnies are the ideas for fics in the word range of flash fiction: 100 to 500 words. They're very helpful for telling a joke that you don't want to take very long or won't fit in a larger fic, as well as for challenges on, for example, manycases1truth. I know the fandom part of my brain is healthy when they start jumping out left and right. And I just caught two of them last night, so I think I may be in the clear ^___^

On that note, I just read the new translation of Magic Kaito chapter one, and I have only one thing to say: I refuse to be the person who writes Nakamori Ginzo x (or --->) Kuroba Toichi.

Anyway, don't stop reccing, because that will help strengthen the tentative grip the fandom has on me, but I am taking steps in the right direction ^__^ Oh Communications~

I'm pretty sure I never got around to discussing it, even around the time I wrote and posted my first lemon ever (Akako/Aoko, friends locked and unreviewed; stopped me from even attempting to write another lemon until the plunnies got too insistent). Last [school] year, though, one of my teachers, Mr. Hartwig (who I raved about on several occasions) said something I thought was especially pogniant. He basically took apart the Write What You Know rule.

It isn't so much that we should write about things we've experienced, he said, but that we should write about things we have thought through very thoroughly. There's a lot of authors who write about things they've never experienced, never could have experienced, and do well with them.

Long story short, that's the reason I let myself get away with writing lemons, despite my complete and total lack of sexual experience. Besides, there's loads of research on the web that I can look to for help ;)
