Here's to a real hoopy frood

Towel Day is celebrated every May 25 as a tribute by fans of the late author Douglas Adams. The commemoration was first held in 2001, two weeks after his death on May 11, and since then has been extended to an annual event. On this day, fans carry a towel with them throughout the day. The towel is a reference to Adams's popular science fiction comedy series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Other possible dates were 11 February ( 42nd day of the year), 11 March (Birthday), 2 April (4/2 using American date-writing conventions) or 4 February (4/2 using British date-writing conventions), 11 May (his death), 22 June (42 days after his death), and 18 October (42nd Thursday of his year of death). 25 May was chosen because it was as close to his death as expedient notification of fans could allow, and kept by custom although there were some attempts to switch to one of the alternate dates.
I've got a small hand towel with me in recognition/celebration of Towel Day. How 'bout the rest of you? Do you know where your towel is?
In other news, gak, I can't believe it's actually Friday @_@ I was sure it was still Thursday... I think I lost a weekday sometime between Sunday and now - which is strange, because I seem to have kept up with the date. (The computer lab sign-in thing helps with that.) I need to get cleaning!
In other other news, I was most of the way through Romeo x Juliet episode six when I finally put two and two together. That is, I finally connected the fact that the anime was based (however loosely) on the Bard's play of the same name to how said play ends. If they follow through with the ending, or even pulled a West Side Story thing on us and followed through like that, it would make me Sad. And I don't like to be Sad. Being Sad is about my least favorite thing in the whole world, next to artificial cherry flavoring in anything besides cola.
Oh, well. At least I'm finally getting the rest of PGSM downloaded.
Edit: Duct tape is a very useful and convenient invention.
