Good vs Bad

Good: Tomas is only doing the stupid paper route thing on Wednesdays, hooray!

Bad: I still miss my watch. I keep looking down and expecting it to be on my wrist, and then it's not. It's very disconcerting to suddenly not always know what time it is.

Good: I finally saw the turtle movie today! It was really weird going into a theater that was mostly filled by kids eight or more years younger than I and their parents/guardians, especially since I was alone, but I made it work.

(Brief digression - movie points:
* I like that they kept it simple.
* I probably would've appreciated the entirety more had I been allowed to watch the cartoon when I was little, thus making it part of My Childhood; so far its presence is mostly a not!presence.
* It was worth the $2.50 I had to pay to get in. And probably the three hours early I had to get up to see it, too. (It was at ten in the morning. I fail.)
* Rat anatomy wasn't absolutely horrible; the movie is saluted.
* Aksdlfjls turtles socute ♥_♥
* Ditto to a lot of the monsters. 'Specially the really little red one. Sooooo cute!
* Can't say that I have any real opinions aside from that. It felt pretty "B Movie" ish to me all over, but that's not a bad thing.
* Oh wait, there is one: glad they actually looked like teenagers, as pointed out by my friend Chris. Not going into the Ninjas With Honor WTF debate, though; that's other Chris' speal.)

Bad: My computer ate my Pokémon saved game last night, right after I finally beat the elite four + champion. And also figured out how to get time-based events to work so I actually could use berries and stuff. And was up to three sparkley pokémon (gold and purple Beautifly, Tentacruel with green instead of red, and Wingul with green instead of blue). I had over a hundred hours clocked on that game. It was sad-making :( I don't think I'll be playing it again, especially not for a while.

Good: The Renge-and-Mikoto bodyswitch at CFUD. I ended up making arts for it and everything ♥

???: Made my appointment for removal-of-wisdom-teeth. Consultation appt is next Wednesday - hopefully Tom'll have the car back by then. Otherwise I'll walk. Actual tooth removal is at 7:45 in the morning two weeks from Friday. The time terrifies me. I haven't seen it in months, if not years >_> My first hiatus notice will probably include the words "NOT THAT I'M AROUND ON WEEKENDS ANYWAY, BUT." Small font possibly included.

So I felt like writing two entries today, it appears.

Finally signed up for the TokyoPop website thing that lets you read manga online for free. Except apparently they've got "premium" accounts coming that I'm sure do involve payment of some sort, so I guess they're maybe not as stupid ....free with their wares as I had originally hoped believed. Thing is, I can't even get to the free stuff at the moment 'cuz they're busy trying to get their 'beta' site ready. And that's all that's up. (One thing I can appreciate about LJ is that their beta testing isn't mandatory.) And they have this little box in the corner with the technofish in, asking us to report bugs when we find them. And I end up sitting there and staring at the screen and thinking, "Well, I would if the damn site would just load already!" So yes. Frustrating.

Right now I also seem to have nothing better to do than go through Sluggy Freelance archives and save all the strips. I could make a post to CFUD actually, but the only things I can think of at the moment are a) magic tricks, and I only know two besides the one Sonoko comes with in canon and can't come up with a very good lead-in besides (day-in-the-life, maybe?), and b) Bork post, and I don't have a good excuse for that yet. Maybe I can say it was because of the PETA-bot's pita bread. Either way, I also don't have a lot of time left today, which also makes things trickier. Maybe I'll do one or the other tomorrow afternoon.

Randomly, next Lurker Day in about two months, I think? I think I'll dedicate myself to commenting in all my freinds' journals or something. Also need to come up with fic for it. And/or art. I have been saving comic pages for banners, though ♥ ...Oops, need Spring '07 banners still. Uh. ...Why am I planning for this now anyway, I haven't even had a reminder from Candy.

Oh, well. Back to saving Sluggy pages.
