So some of the things I said were differently interpreted than I had anticipated. I guess I should do damage control?

Going to be mildly spammy in a minute, but I wanna keep the two things separate in case I do end up posting damage control here. Otherwise, my other query will seem wildly out of place, as will responses to it (if I actually get any).

Edit: Apparently, I am egocentric in more ways than I care to contemplate, and not always in balance. Also, I think I figured out what one of my big problems was this morning. GJ, me!
