"Passing along this HUGE news! Iowa's statute restricting marriage only to different-gender couples has been STRUCK DOWN."
For those of you who were unaware, Iowa's had a restriction on marriage since it was made a state. And now it's gone. I think I need to celebrate. In many, many ways.

dc_yaoi, Detective Conan finally has on-screen canon gay. Which might not be quite as huge, in the grand scheme of things, or at least the immediate scheme of things, but considering that it's in a shounen manga and the characters involved are not actually completely bishounen/effeminate, I think it's a fairly significant step. I can only declare my everlasting love for whoever was behind getting that in the comic (and to whoever translates that chapter first).
Now if you'll excuse me, I believe I'll be dancing in the aisles. ...Of my mind.
