...Can I call shenanigans on this?
Oct. 17th, 2007 08:05 pmSeriously. They're letting me use the computer lab. They have no complaint about me sitting in front of a computer, doing my thing. Either there has been a Grievous Communication Error, or Someone Just Doesn't Like Me. I'm hoping for the former, and not looking a gift horse in the mouth. (For the record, Hakuba only has one filling and his teeth are well aligned.)
Just took my First Aid final (yes, only half way through the semester; my Wednesday mornings are free again!), and got a 96% ^^b So that's one class I didn't completely drop the ball on due to lack of 20 mg of Prozacunlike the rest of them. Going to continue trying to get my act together on the rest of them and pick up my refill probably tomorrow. I've got a few to get me by until then. And for the record, I absolutely hate how they don't make 60 mg doses of generic-for-Prozac Fluoxotine.
Dropped by the pet store today to look at Cute Fuzzy Things. Jillian-sensei (of the Jade Tiger Dojo, where I used to go for Shinkendo lessons - which, by the way, are the number one reason I will never attempt to RP Heiji) was there with a huge snake 8Db A Burmese python, weighing in at about 45 lbs ♥ So pretty and lively and stuff! Thankfully, I'm pretty sure my boys didn't smell it on me when I brought them apple pieces earlier tonight, but that did have me worried ^^a There were also some very... clingy birds there: a love bird and a cocka-whatsit (the white thing with the yellow crest whose name I apparently either can't remember or can't spell). Actually, the love bird was the more clingy one; the cocka-whatsit was more mouthy. And by mouthy I don't mean talkative; I mean he climbed up my arm to chew on my coat, glasses, and attempt to steal one of my earrings. I managed to distract him from this with one of my fingers, which he attempted to swallow. At least, that's what I think he was doing; it didn't hurt, at any rate. Managed to escape eventually with both earrings and all extremities intact, but not until after breaking my own heart a little at some of the rats they had for sale.
See, there were four 'tanks' at the pet store, each with a type of rat: Large white, medium white, small white and hairless [where "white" means "fancy"]. The Small White Rat tank had about ten rats; each of the other tanks had only one. I got into a bruxing contest with the hairless rat and pretty much fell in love ^^a I did to leave the store without it (him?), but my heart is still torn. And I still want more rats in those three enclosures.
Last rat thing, and then I close the post ;) I'm hoping the weather for Hallowe'en will be good, so I can "man" the door with them and claim they're dressed up as plague rats ♥ They won't be, really, as I'd have to give them an agouti makeover of some sort, but it's not like there are a lot of costume options for pocket pets, so. Here's to cross-quarter days!
