It appears that the world just doesn't want for me to have a clear driveway. It's just not happening. Because twice now, I have shoveled the driveway (after a previous history of just letting the snow stay there and not caring), only for it to snow again almost immediately after and before I can get much appreciation out of it. So yesterday night/afternoon, as we were getting something like five to eight spontaneous inches for NO GOOD REASON, followed by RAIN which is NO HELP WHAT-SO-EVER as any snow-squishing it does is promptly made pointless by how heavy it all becomes, I decided to give up the goat and just go back to the not-shoveling game. *mutter, grumble* Not like I was being paid for it anyway, rassa frassa... (Anyone else in Iowa feel like they're trapped in the ninth level, or is that just me?)
Didn't really care about the sporty stuff yesterday, beyond going back to re-read this cartoon and subjecting my family to it. (I swear that webcomic makes my life better. I have based at least one of my life's philosophies on it.)
On fandom related topics, I would like to say that I am quite proud of us all for having kept off of f_w for quite so long. It's been alive and kicking for how long before we generate enough wank to get up there? Go, us! (Not that remaining off indefinitely wouldn't have been nice, but I still consider this pretty good.)
I need to get it through my head that thinking of them as Fics I Will Never Post does not at all mean I should immediately go out and make a post of them, especially if I want to call it Fics I Will Never Post. Yes, even if it's locked. ...A post of Lines I Will Never Get To Use In Fics (But Still Want To) might work, though. *ponders it*
helendragon, Anime Iowa meeting this weekend; have you contacted whoever was in charge of lost-and-found recently, or should I still be planning to ask about your jacket? (Or whatever article of clothing it is.)
*tromps off in search of goodfic before she must leave the lab for the night*
