Voom, Fat Tuesday, Death is not an option
Feb. 5th, 2008 08:34 pmForgot to mention: On Sunday, I went to see the Voom Portraits on Sunday with my parents, my brother, and my aunt who usually lives in Texas. It was greatly disturbing. They made sound. And moved. At really creepy times and stuff. There was the one with the guy who was wearing white and standing in a futuristic butcher shop thing with this big slab of meat on the table in front of him, and then if you watched for a while, he started chewing something. Pretty much all of the other exhibits in the museum had been moved out for these portraits, as each one had its own soundtrack, and they still bled into each other a little. They were creepy as fuckall. Definitely art, though. (Despite myself, I am tempted to go for another, more thorough look before the exhibit moves again. Perhaps I damaged my hardware at some point. ...I don't suppose I could drag anyone along?)
Happy Fat Tuesday to all who celebrate it, in whatever form :3b Tomorrow, I fast! Also, I begin not eating of chips (being crisps/thin sliced potatoes deep fried and packaged in air-tight bags, etc; cheese curls do count as chips, pretzels do not), because I figure that's as good a thing to give up for Lent as anything else. It shall be joining my Lurker Day prep (and don't you all look forward to the day I won't be gabbing about that anymore!).
On a much different note, I've recently been pondering something my friend Asian!Chris once told me: Any game can be improved by adding either "strip" or "full contact" to its name, but not both. I'm stuck wondering how certain sports and/or games could possibly be changed to incorporate these elements. Thankfully, my mind does not often stray to fic while doing so, though I'm sure it's a near thing.
I kinda wanna do something for Singles Awareness Day, but don't know what. Shall have to give it more thought. (Gen fic, maybe...?)
