Socchan: Hmm, I should probably update sometime soon. I wonder when my last update was...?
Socchan: *checks*
Socchan: Holy--! March 3rd?!
Socchan: I am so failing at this "life" thing.
Anime Iowa meeting today, in which I got to review my responsibilities as a co-head, since it seems I had forgotten them since last time -.-a It was a very entertaining meeting, in which there were too few chairs.
The library seems to be clearing out 741.593 finally, so I snatched up what I could. I got Sailor Moon volume three, which I think is the only one that hadn't drifted into my house over time, Oh My Goddess! volume ten, 3x3 Eyes volume three, a few random volumes of Lum Urusei Yatsura, [A, A prime], and some Mai (the psychic girl). These are essentially my childhood, guys. This is the stuff I picked up and paged through when I would come to the library before opening in the summers of my junior high years. I am so not leaving without them. (I'm also planning to keep my eyes peeled for either of the two books with Keiko Nishi's work, because I fell in love with it, man. Love. Double bonus points if I can get my hands on the one with The Signal Goes Blink, Blink, which is probably one of my favorite stories ever.
Voting for this year's RSoM is up at TokyoPop; they seem to have fixed the thing that let you download individual manga pages, as near as I can tell, which I suppose is fair, even if I will miss free manipable pages.
Oh yeah, Candy! When's your spring break? Mine's over the week of the seventeenth (it's always over St Patrick's day, probably because we're a college town and various associations with drinking and college students 9_9a) and my family's got vague plans to drive around Iowa. Tues-Thurs of that week are still free from any plans, even vague ones, so if you're free around then and are interested in hanging out...? Just a thought.
One of these days, I really am going to have to make plans for a science-based trip around Iowa, simply because of how cool it would be. I'm totally planning to at least make and wear the following shirt: "I visited the mid continental gravity anomaly, and all I got was this lousy weight fluctuation". Because dude. Mid continental gravity anomaly.
Currently fighting with Communications; there's a minor plot point that I thought I had all worked out, but now has decided it wants to be difficult. Specifically, it has to do with how big a role Sonoko gets to play in the story :/ S-sigh, difficult choices. I should probably yammer with someone about this, but I'm about out of time today. Maybe another time...
