Hooray, posting time! ...Well, maybe hooray. Mostly hooray? Sorta hooray?
Anywho. ( Pictures of that tree what fell )
Item two on the list of things to go over. Remember that moped I got? Well, after a very helpful info dump, we looked it over and it appears to be leaking from the gas tank, which makes it more or less of a wash. Talked it over with the family, and we made the decision to attempt to get our money back for it. (Tomas was all up for investing in a new moped with me up until I pointed out that, come August, we'd be living in different places. Apparently, that hadn't occurred to him.)
Mom went on mission: attempt to get refund today (I think? possibly yesterday), and had not only no luck, but was the recipient of Much Rudeness. As a result, vindictiveness was fueled in her, and we had the moped removed from our driveway as abandoned property. It is my next mission in life to visit the Bicycle Library, and see about getting a non-motorized bike. I have no doubt it will be great exercise, cost no gas money, and will make me sore and miserable very often when I first get it. This will not stop me from attempting to become transportationally independent! *Rosie pose*
Item three on the list! I've begun work on the Avatar prompts (still open!) I collected the other day, and have so far finished ...one! Which is better than zero, so shut up. Still plugging (rather slowly) away, will post when I have more than one.
And I think that's about it, really.
abarero has a nice post on the interpretive meaning of gen fic here which I found interesting, but which you have to be friended to read, and I've been having weird thoughts about ambushing people on my f'list with recycled manga purses, but am unsure as to how they would be received, among other things. So I guess that really is it.
