Timing things sucks
Jul. 25th, 2008 01:58 pmMan, you ever have one of those moments where you finally take the two and two you'd been given long before and actually add them together? (I'm trying to find the relevent Sluggy Freelance strip, but I'm not having any luck at the moment, sad to say.) For example, this morning I finally managed to connect the idea "I get to move stuff into the apartment on August first" with "Today is July twenty-fifth" to get "HOLY CRAP, I HAVE LESS THAN A WEEK TO PACK MY SHIT AND GET READY TO MOVE!" ...With a side order of "ANIME IOWA IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER DD:" (Pat, gimme a call when it's okay for me to pick up the laptop so I can get started on printing, 'kay?)
I've also run out of time to acclimate myself slowly to bike riding again, so I guess I'll have to balance practice/acclimation with possibly borrowing the car from home and/or bumming rides from friends, depending on what my schedule's like. I'm tempted to sign up for as much bus work as I can before school starts, but the schedule there's tricky as well; it starts the Monday after Anime Iowa, and I'm sure I'm gonna have my plate full with that already. Aaargh -_-
...Not that any of this will stop me from trying to earn $10-ish from my parents over the weekend for the purpose of purchasing the final Avatar DVD on Tuesday (the reason I finally put two and two together - thank you, commercials!).
