RIGHT, SO.
This "Glee" show. I have about 0% interest in it, except for two* things:
1) People I think are generally cool like it (and/or otherwise Have Opinions on it), therefore I see it mentioned on the ol' f'list/reading circle fairly often.
2) This most recent semester, we were singing a song called "Glee" for Quire. It was in what was described as a very glee club style, and included the definition of the word/term glee, and was pretty amusing in general.
For pretty much all of the semester, I was looking forward to getting our concert CD so I could share the song with aficionados of the show. Having finally gotten my copies of said CD yesterday, I'm now guessing by the posts I'm seeing that my CD/DVD drive's recent refusal to open is actually somewhat serendipitous.
That is all.
* A third thing would potentially be the fauxgressive mess it apparently stumbles into on a regular basis, but that would involve much longer posts and comments than I want to get into at the moment. Which, yes, I'm aware that I'm invoking my own privilege here, but I don't think I have the spoons for dealing with the... everything that would be involved if I did decide to engage this more actively.
