So I've been meaning to post the next part of my AI Teaspoon Report, and also my AI Art Table Report, because I did goooooood this year, but then life happened. First, geeky coworker was on vacation and I worked eight days in a row; yesterday was my first day off in more than a week, and today was my second. I go back to work tomorrow morning.
Second, my pet rat Phineas is sick. He's got some serious coordination problems and issues with pupil movement. The vet gave me three possible reasons, the first of which was inner ear infection, the second of which slipped my mind, and the third of which was a brain tumor. I'm hoping it's an ear infection, since that's relatively benign/treatable and I obviously don't know much about the second thing if I can't even remember it, but even then...
I've had a rat with an ear infection before (Ari, who was rather antisocial even before the ear infection and ended up with a permanent head tilt), but he was much younger than Phineas at the time. Phineas is in otherwise decent health, but I did have to look up how old he is, and he's probably about a year and a half old by now, which means he's an old man in rat years. He and Ferb may be nearing the end of their lifespans anyway. I may be needing pet!fic in the near future.
In the mean time, I got meds for Phineas: some antibiotics and anti-inflamatories. Hopefully those will do the trick. I don't know how much longer he or Ferb have, but I plan to take care of them the best I can until it's time to say good-bye.
