Post-Weather Report
Dec. 17th, 2021 01:49 amTentative final weather update for this most recent bullshit storm. Just about everything in the yard seemed fine when I went to investigate; there was a section of rain gutter between our house and a neighbor's that I don't think is ours, and a peach tree in our back yard that's been barely clinging on for at least a decade may have finally given up the ghost (or might be on its way to growing new roots), but otherwise I didn't notice any damage.
Well. The giant, plastic candy canes that Dad hung off of the large evergeen in our front yard had mostly fallen, but that's really it. I got some of them back up at his request, but quit after a few due to A) Not having adequately dressed for the cold (it should not be in the thirties the day after it's in the seventies (F)), and B) It still being relatively windy, if less so. I might try again in the morning, but I also might very well not do that. I did at least round up all of the candy canes I could find and collect them into a single pile, so that's something.
