And we're back!
Feb. 11th, 2022 10:11 pmThat is, the car is back from the shop! Much earlier than I was anticipating, and even earlier than they were; they weren't expecting it to be ready until Monday, while I wouldn't have been surprised if I'd needed to wait at least a full week.
It is immediately obvious how much better it's driving. Since I would've ended up coming back for an oil change in a matter of weeks anyway, I asked for one to be done as long as they were working, and now that's out of the way as well. The only thing that didn't happen is the battery in my key getting replaced, and even that was a very last-minute thing I hadn't even known they could do and only mentioned off-hand right after dropping my car off in the first place. (Turns out they don't have the batteries it takes in stock.) Since I've gone more than a month without being able to remotely lock or unlock my car, I figure a little more time won't hurt me. It's a little annoying, since only the driver's side door has an actual keyhole, but as far as problems go, that's pretty low on the list.
The only problem is that now I've got itchy fingers to make an impulse purchase, having just emptied my checking account by about a third. Hopefully I can distract myself with the books, video games, and crafting supplies I already have...
