Good Omens Season 2
Jul. 31st, 2023 09:18 pmWelp I just saw the final episode of Good Omens Season 2.
I was spoiled for "This is going to rip your heart out through your ribcage" and I also saw a gif of The Kiss on Tumblr, since I haven't exactly gone out of my way to block any spoilers. So I was less surprised than I might have been.
So far I've been dealing with the resulting Feels by cackling over the twisted irony of it all (certain especially vocal subsets of fandom got what they wanted, but at what cost), fretting over what exactly will happen to the bookshop (I do not believe in the slightest that Muriel knows how to run a human bookstore), and wondering how, exactly, Season 3 might fix everything (because I refuse to believe it won't).
I will also say that "I forgive you" was about the coldest thing Aziraphael could possibly have said, dear sweet mercy.
Anyway, I am now fully prepared for work tomorrow, should my boss also have seen the whole thing. (My other coworker who is into the show is planning to re-watch Season 1 before starting Season 2 and hasn't gotten to either yet.)
