Thanks to everyone who participated in Lurker Day--whether it was posting something to share with other people, delurking, or lurking with pride, you helped make it a bigger success than I thought possible ^___^ I kept a record of all the links I could find to posts for Lurker Day here (and I did do some digging around to find some of them), though I think there might still be a few out there ;) Lemme know if you have one up so I can post a link to it? (Also, some people I know might want to stop by
yutaya's ^_~)
And I'm going to stop talking about that now before I degenerate into this whole Christmas Carol-esque speach about how the spirit of Lurker Day should be kept all year round, and how it's okay to delurk 'late' or on any of the other three hundred and sixty-four (point two five) days of the year, and to celebrate lurking then, too. Which of course makes me begin wondering about the three spirits of Lurker Day and so forth, so I really should shut up now. So! To distract the both of us, here's a wonderful meme ganked from
bard_linn:
Many human beings find it very hard to believe in themselves. They often doubt their self-worth or their actions
Comment here and I’ll tell you what I admire about you or what you have done that I think is amazing. Then post this in your own journal if you like.
I will compliment you to the best of my abilities, even with cramps and painkillers [TMI]and boy does that ever give the appointment for my first ever papsmear bad timing![/TMI] So come distract me from my woes!
Also, a question for the ages: Could Chris Lu do a kip-up on ice? Because even without a cowboy hat that would be damn impressive.
Oh, and There She Is and Cake Dance are the cutest things ever. Really. You should go watch them now.

Date: 2006-03-03 07:07 pm (UTC)Absolutely ^___^ I'm still tempted to extend this first Lurker Day for the entire weekend, since people are still just finding out about it or finding out that they've missed it.
Also, I have to get to my doctor's appointment in, like, ten minutes, so I can't gush over you properly now T-T I promise to give you a proper self-esteem boost when I get back! In the mean time, you should content yourself by visiting
*is actually commenting on a lurkee journal O.o*

Date: 2006-03-03 10:53 pm (UTC)You are my co-conspirator for the YonKyuu AU which is sorta just sitting on my shelf at the moment, looking at me and twitching its little plunny nose but not actually doing anything and my Eternal Rival ♥ I really enjoy our conversations and spamfests. You egged me on for Magical Girl Icka, and gave me some pretty good ideas in the process. You seem like a really cool person IRL, and if I could bring you up here to live with me, I would. Your fics make me smile and are really well written. And if anyone needs and deserves a self-esteem boost, it's you.

Date: 2006-03-03 10:39 pm (UTC)Okay, you went in for a lot of angst in your writing, which I generally ignore I'm afraid. Oops? However, you wrote some really great fics that I ended up really fond of: your crack was funny, your characters were IC, and your ideas were original. I've promised myself that one day I will get off of my lazy rear and actually read some of your more recent work. You also seem really dedicated to the things you work on and believe in, as evidenced by this year's and last year's Lent.
Oh, and you make really great memes ;)

Date: 2006-03-04 05:31 am (UTC)Close enough. One day I need to write an essay on my anime and manga firsts. Sailor Moon was the first manga I ever read, but Cardcaptor Sakura was the first one I owned.
You are very much the rocking-ness, yes ♥

I am currently crushed underneath a very large and heavy Writer's Block, but I'm certain the search-and-rescue plot-bunnies will be here any day now. ¦D
In short: ♥
PS: MORE PEOPLE SHOULD GET IN ON LURKER DAY, FOR SERIOUS. >O

Date: 2006-03-05 05:21 am (UTC)I am soooo looking forward to Lurker Day next year. I'm hoping that by year three it'll get at least three degrees of seperation from me ♥ Yay for no freak outs! Most of the time I figure, if it's public, it's fair game ^^; That's how I stopped freaking out about people delurking on my LJ. *is embarrassed to admit that she freaked out even once, even if it was silently*
