Ice cream and D. Gray-man

Happy fourth to all who celebrate it (for whatever reason)!

Sea-Salt ice cream is a bitch to make. It could be that any ice cream is a bitch to make, or it could also be that I take forever to make food (which is definitely possible). It does not change that this is taking far longer than I expected it to. Still, it's Sea-Salt Ice Cream. Can't complain about that.

Am now up-to-date with the D. Gray-man manga. I... wasn't quite feeling the love for the series the first two times I tried it, I admit ^^; But after it took over CFUD and journals I lurk at, I became determined to give it a third try. It hasn't quite taken over my brain yet (and for that, I believe, I am thankful), but I do now see what most of the fuss was about. Pro'ly going to avoid re-reading the first story arch for a while, though. ...I do have mad love for Miranda Lott, though, and may attempt to app her will definitely be begging for her at CFUD the next time councelor apps open up. (She could so be there investigating the strange behavior of the space-time continuum ♥♥♥ Which makes me think she would be great as a camper, but she's twenty-five, so DD: )

Edit: Argh argh argh, it's been more than an hour since I put it in the freezer, why isn't my ice cream ready yet? DD: (Patience? What's that?)

Edit 2: Ice cream is done ^___^ ♥ Or rather, I decided it was as frozen as it was going to get and moved it from the pie tins to a tupperware container. And had a taste or three along the way. I think I may use a little less salt next time o_O Other than that, it tastes sorta like cookie dough.

...May possibly use an alternate recipe, too. Have to see what I like best and all.

Wait... You put the sea salt into the ice cream, instead of merely using salt to speed the melting of the ice around the ice cream (for more rapid cooling and, thereby, freezing)?

I hadn't expected the salt to be in the ice cream. My blood pressure boils...

Yup. It's supposed to have "a salty-sweet taste". Which it does, though damned if I'm going to use more than a teaspoon of sea salt next time >_O Though salt in the ice to speed melting sounds great if I ever try the coffee can ice cream method.
