Right. So. Snakes on a Plane.
...WTF ♥♥♥ No, really, just WTF ♥♥♥
Okay, first things first. I think getting caught up in all the internet hype about it too far ahead of time might have disappointed me greatly. Or maybe not. I might've loved it anyway. In either case, went in not knowing a whole lot about it.
Second, this strikes me as the kind of movie that will have reptile/snake experts rolling in the aisles, if for no other reason than the fangs they gave that huge constrictor. I've already vaguely lumped it in with Jurassic Park for that reason :D;;; That said, I now need to go watch it again with someone who knows more about snakes than I do. I had to hear the constrictor thing from Mom, and even before that I thought that was way too many teeth for that thing.
...Dude, the last half hour or however long/short it was made that movie for me. Not just because of the Line. Mostly because that's about the point that things started going, if not right, then at least okay, and I like it when good things happen in books and movies and such. Also, the little kids ♥ I was won over with the explanation for the snake drawing.
Hooray, new uses for olive oil! I wonder if it really works. I hope so, because then I can add it to my little list of quirky knowledge that I got from TV/movies.
Major love for the snake expert, also. Even if it turns out they did get lots and lots wrong with the movie.
Miiinor points off for the number of snakes biting in the "worst possible places". Major bonus points for the number of well-developed characters on that plane. I mean, seriously. (I love me some well-developed background/side characters, yes I do.)
Still not sure how I feel about Flight Attendant/FBI Agent romance stories, but I'll live.
In short, would watch again. Hopefully with friends.
And now, to continue resisting the urge to draw parody art. Because it's probably already been done a million times, and better than I could. ...That should be my new tagline, I think.
