soc_puppetSo, I was going to do a completely different entry with Tales of Things to Come, but then I found out I actually had things to write about. Gasp! Shock! Surprise! I'll probably just spam you with write that one anyway.
In that thar pirate-y news stuffs, I be very much approvin' of the eyepatch on all yonder LJ person-things, yaaarr.
Today in art class, I wished the teacher a happy Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day, and he responded with "Don't write the check if your butt can't cash it" or some such. He clarified a short time later, saying that I shouldn't say things like that if I didn't want him to do a three hour lecture in Pirate Speak, and then asked me if that's what I wanted. It took a great deal of willpower to say no.
Am still surprised at how well I'm doing in French. Finally got my test back, and while it was only an 86% after all, that's still a medium/high B, and better than I thought I'd get. Am doing a fair job of recognizing the verbs we've gotten so far, and pretty decent at conjugating. Hooray for me!
Like many before me, I will be expressing my approval here of the 'Update Captain's Log' name on the nice little button down there. Way to go, LJ!Now, if only you could do some of the function related things half as well, I would be happy. Pardon me, I tend to get bitchy when I read too many rants, justified or not. Back on topic, I would not frown on this being a permanant feature :DD ...Which isn't going to happen, but hey! It's an idea for a layout, if nothing else. Pirate theme! Planning a mutiny? Walk the plank! Yarrr ;)
I wanted to draw something in celebration of today--specifically, the Dread Pirate Arashi, versions 1.0 and 2.0--but realized it would probably be a 2/3 hour picture, and I didn't have that kind of time ;_; Maybe some other time.
Stopped by K-Mart and picked up the latest Avatar DVD ^__^ At last, I have the entire Water book! And it features Yue, hooray ^__^ ....Not that this means as much, what with recent events and all. Still, it does make me happy.
....I'd better Update Captain's Log now, before I ramble more. Like about my minor obsession with songs about sailing or something. Yeah, good plan.
