Okay, so. Sometimes women have these marriage meeting things? Where they meet potential grooms and stuff? And since Zuko's kindof a prince, he'd probably need to meet a lady he could stand and of the right breeding. And then Jet is there for a completely different reason - haven't decided what yet - and accidentally stumbles in as a 'bride candidate'. Or something. And then of course after Jet's poured his heart out about whatever, Zuko would be, "Okay, but why are you at my marriage meeting thing?" And Uncle would be, "I like this one! Let's keep him!" And stuff. Iunno.
