XD Some of those are surprisingly accurate. And wow, just look at all the books I get! Win, me! Anyway, I'm thoroughly amused, so I guess the meme did its job.

Anyway. Took my brother to K-mart today, so he could buy people presents. I was included in "people", as was Mom, so I didn't stick around while he was shopping. Instead, I hopped back on over to the fabric store, what with it being a two minute walk away :D;; ...Okay, I really should've waited until Saturday, when there was a sale, but it was right there, and I was right there too, so I figured, why not?

Following this, I went back over to K-mart to see if my little brother was done shopping. I didn't see him (possibly because I tend to turn mental blinders on when I'm walking anywhere ^^a, but he says he saw me go in the store?), so I assumed he was still shopping. I ended up browsing the electronics section for about fifteen minutes, then checking by the door again. Since I still couldn't find the little so-and-so, I decided: what the hell, may as well go look at the terrible plastic Avatar toys. So I ambled on over to the toys section.

As I wandered the isles, my mind drifted aimlessly on Avatar toys, and the futile hopes for an eventual Appa plushie, and thoughts of how cute a sockmonkey!Momo would look, and so on. Eventually it landed on something I'm surprised I can still even contemplate, and can only thank my lucky stars I did not see in the "girls'" section (a.k.a., The Pink Aisle(s)): plastic figures of Toph and Katara whose hair you could brush and put up in fancy styles. Possibly even dressable. And, though the name didn't occur to me later, they would be called Avatar Hairbending Dolls. With a little TM mark and everything. And the mere idea just kinda fried my bacon, 'cuz Avatar is all levels of awesome about having strong female characters in important rolls, and the only time we really see Toph and Katara worrying about their appearances too much is in Tales of Ba Sing Se, and ans and. Anyway, I was relieved beyond belief that I didn't actually see them, so.

Shortly after that thought, I managed to find the plastic figures. And while I was rather annoyed at the lack of plastic females, especially when they had a random Fire Nation soldier and three different versions of Aang. And then I was distracted, because not only did they have Avatar Roku figures, but one of the versions of Aang was WaterTribe!Aang. In full costume. With a water whip and ice shield-and-spear combo and a water pouch and stuff. And my little OTP-oriented heart went doki-doki-doki ♥♥♥ Spent about two minutes mentally gushing, then went to check if my brother was at the door or not.

To my luck, he was. So I promptly dragged him back to the toy section and hinted strongly that he might want to get one or two of these for me for the holidays maybe? Hart hart hart? And, uh, I'm supposed to forget that he actually did buy them for me, so. I'll do that now. But I still felt like gushing. 'Cuz yeah.

Anyway, I'm still hoping against hope that we get female action figures in the future (though part of me joked that it was because all of the female torsos they had to work with had chests that were too big), and hoping strongly against Avatar Hairbending Dolls coming into existence.
