Going in to ACen early (on Thursday morning +_+) with Chris! Thus, must reschedule my psychiatrist appointment. Oh, well ¦Db

Had the big Quire after-concert party yesterday, which served as dinner and thus I was not able to get out of. It was okay in the end, though, 'cuz I ran into my Quire friends and got to babble for entirely too long ♥ (...I am being recruited to play rugby? I imagine it's a general recruitment and not necessarily because they think I'd be really good at it, but. I still don't know what to think. Mostly because I only have the vaguest idea of what rugby even is >_>...) The hosts also had a number of cats, one of which I spent some time petting and skritching and generally paying attention to. This resulted in me coming home with my hands smelling like cat and my darling pets being generally Not Very Happy About This.

I think I managed to make up with them this morning somewhat, but it definitely influenced my decision in taking dog oriented volunteer classes instead of cat oriented volunteer classes at the shelter. (I'm signed up for the class on the fifteenth from five to seven-thirty ♥)

Picked up a job app today, hoping to turn it in tomorrow or maybe even late tonight if I feel ambitious. It's for a video rental store, and the ad mentioned a) advancement opportunities, b) health coverage and c) free rentals, and I think that potentially putting up with very jerky customers would be well worth item b. ...And occasionally c as well. (Hell, for health coverage, I'd probably be willing to make this a career.) I'm not holding my breath on getting in, but I am allowing myself a rice-grain sized bit of hope. All other hope (at the moment) rests with TEAM and my 79 WPM typing speed. I keep hearing 'wow's. Is it really 'wow' worthy?

And that's about it for me. French final tomorrow, probably going to go shopping for food and stuff the day after that, and 100% likely to just not give a flying fig about the minor inconsistency in my Katara outfit (trans: I won't be fixing it by then, I'm pretty sure). And now, I think I'm going to go think of requests for Audience Appreciation Weekend.

I happen to love cats.

79 wpm is really good. I was able to get a job immediately just for having fast typing skills (and the agency tested me on an old style type writer, not a computer). It depends on the kind of job you want, too - if you want to work in an office job, you need at least 40 wpm typing (I think it's 40, maybe 45), but either way you're definitely fine. Yup, yup :< ...Except I also heard that some male rats like to chase cats, so. Again, just glad they weren't provoked into biting.

I love cats like burning, but Mom's allergic, so taking them home is probably out.

Well, that's good to hear :D And at the moment, I mostly want a job that'll start me out - pay a few bills maybe, get me some more experience - but long-term hopes include such things as health insurance and a good environment.

[Tangent]There are jobs that'd take you based solely on typing speed? I wish I knew any. I'd imagine they'd be secretary-type jobs, and the deities know that I've never even came close to landing one, despite me actually having some slightly relevant experience.

*sigh* Not that I really have time for a job with full time classes, but...meh. Got bills and am not keen on living off borrowed money (and my savings, while still existent, are dwindling rapidly).
